Proof Reader Wally

May 6th, 2010 by Pete

This weeks wally of the week is the person that was employed to do the proof reading for the cookbook: The Pasta Bible. A mistake in one of the recipes was over looked and it was published saying the dish required “salt and freshly ground black people”. 7,000 copies of the book are to be pulped and the mistake will cost the company over $2,000 (that’s about £8.50 last time I checked the exchange rate). More information over at the Guardian.

Above is a picture from the pasta scene in Lady and Tramp which is possible the most romantic scene in any cartoon ever. Last week’s wally of the week were Workmen Wallies, well I say last week in reality that post was actually made over two years ago. Via John “it’s not gay if you give it” Atkins.

Workmen Wallies

March 13th, 2007 by Pete

Workmen from Bristol have painted over the earliest know Banksy mural because they thought it was vandalism that needed clearing up. Although the Banksy tag would have originally been considered vandalism, Bristol Council ordered all Banksy “street art” to be preserved when the artist gained mainstream exposure. The piece of art painted over had been done on the side of a garage and is thought to have been worth around £100,000.

Banksy Mural

Pictured above is the mural before and after with a picture of a balaclava sporting Bansky in the corner. You can notice that some sharp witted satirist has written “Wot No Banksy?” on the black paint afterwards.

bansy fat lane street art

This “fat lane” picture is one of my personal favourite Banksy photo’s. Apparently there is a new form of vandalism on the rise that you can’t be prosecuted for, this involves cleaning dirty walls to leave pictures or messages on them. Surely this has been being done for years with hilarious slogans being written on White Vans. My favourite White Van slogan is “I wish my wife was as dirty as this van”.

My last wally of the week was Drink Drive Wally.

Drink Drive Wally

February 23rd, 2007 by Pete

James Vernon Holbert Jr had been out drinking and decided he was too drunk to drive home, he decided to let his 14 year old son drive, unfortunately his son was Drunk too. Congratulations James you are this weeks Wally of the Week!

Mr Holbert faces up to 5 years in the slammer when he is sentenced in May. Unsurprisingly his intoxicated son couldn’t handle the vehicle very well and crashed it into a tree. The teen was charged with driving without a license and driving after illegal consumption of alcohol, which are both misdemeanours in Virginia.

Above is a picture of a dog driving a car because I couldn’t find a picture of a child driving one. Last weeks “Wally of the Week” was a Ginger Wally.

Ginger Wally

February 16th, 2007 by Pete

This weeks Wally of the Week is the Ginger one from Girls Aloud. She just spoils the whole band for me, why do they keep her in it? They might as well have stuck that big fat ginger from Hollyoaks or Chris Evans in the band!

Girls Aloud (the ginger one is rough as)
Girls Aloud, have recently teamed up with the Sugababes to record a version of “Walk this Way” for Comic Relief. Personally I’m not very happy about this as Girls Aloud clearly outclass the Sugababes by miles. I’m just hoping that Girl’s Aloud might try and swap the fit one from the Sugababes with the Ginge. I doubt the Sugababes would notice as they’ve had so many line-up changes anyway. Last weeks Wally was Wally crushed by a truck!.

Wally Crushed by Truck

February 9th, 2007 by Pete

Tom Owen is this Weeks Wally of the Week. Tom Owen’s latest in a long line of death defying stunts was to show the amazing strength of his prodigious abs. He lay on the ground while a 4×4 truck carrying 20 youths was put on top on him for 30 seconds. This foolish stunt ended up hospitalising Mr Owen whose injury’s included broken ribs and internal bleeding. Hopefully Tom has learnt that only Peter Andre has abs mighty enough to withstand this type of punishment!

Wally Buggered By Dog!

February 2nd, 2007 by Pete

Martin Hoyle is this weeks “wally or the week”. He was jailed for 12 months after police caught him being buggered by a dog. Martin claimed that “the dog took a liking to him and tried to rape him” he also claimed that the dog had tried to pull his trousers down with his teeth. Hoyle, 46 is an alcoholic like Mel Gibbson.

This story was first covered by the Yorkshire Evening Post, apparently this sort of thing happens all the time Yorkshire. Here’s what Judge Alistair McCallum told Hoyle before he jailed him:
“Never before in my time at the bar or on the bench have I ever had to deal with somebody who
voluntarily allowed himself to be buggered by a dog on the public highway.
Frankly it is beyond most of our comprehension. It is an absolutely
disgusting thing for members of the public to have to witness.”

I like the sound this Judge Alistair McCallum character here is my top 5 list of judges:

  1. Judge Dredd
  2. Judge John Deed
  3. JUDGE (the hardcore band of the late 80’s)
  4. Judge Alistair McCallum
  5. Judge Jules

I would like to thank my good friend John Atkins for drawing my attention to this story. Here’s a link to last weeks wally.

Wallys Wanted Dead or Alive

January 26th, 2007 by Pete

Pete Burns is this weeks Wally of the Week for suing a plastic surgeon for giving him lip injections that made his lips too big. Apparently Pete’s big lips left him feeling “physically repulsive” and “suicidal”. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m sure having plastic surgery go wrong is an upsetting and traumatic experience, however I think Pete suing for his lips is like Jordan suing a plastic surgeon for back-pain caused by her giant jugs.

Photo of Pete Burns and his big lips

I would like to point out that I am a big fan of the Dead or Alive back catalogue especially “you spin me round (like a record)”. Below is a picture of a Potato made to look like Pete Burns, I think the likeness is quite striking. You can find many more potato look-alikes on The Starchy Gallery.

Hairy Wallies

January 15th, 2007 by Pete

Hairy Wallies

It’s been a while since I did a Wally of the Week section, but its back now by popular demand!

This weeks wally is 32 year old “comedian” Shazia Mirza who’s new years resolution is to stop cutting all her body hair. Shazia is planning to organise as fashion show where hairy woman will model lingerie, I wonder if she’ll have Vivian Wheeler modelling.

Pictured above is Vivian Wheeler holder on the world record of the longest female beard! Vivian’s beard is a massive 27.9cm.

Talking about hairy people below is a pictured Yu Zhenhuan from China, 96% of Yu’s body is covered in hair. He is an aspiring Rock Star and says he is influenced by Rob Halford, what a legend!

Here’s a link to the last Wally of the Week I wrote.

Half man, Half Tiger All Wally!

December 15th, 2006 by petegraham

We are well aware that Tiger can bread with Lions to create Ligers, however Tigers cannot bread with humans to create Higers, that would just be silly. However San Diego Computer Programmer Dennis Smith otherwise known as “Cat-man” is a very silly man he has already spend over £100,000 getting Tiger-style tattoo’s all over his body and now wants to get a fur graft which is expected to be an another £100,000. Mr Smith is not an amazing human tiger hybrid he is just a big big wally, in fact he is this weeks wally of the Week!

“Raaaaah I’m a Wally!”

Heres a link to last weeks wally.

Wally Santa Gets the Sack

December 7th, 2006 by petegraham

As it’s now December I decided to pick a particularly festive Wally this Week. A Father Christmas working at Harrods has received the Sack for inappropriate behaviour. It’s reported that the mischievous Father Christmas had made lewd remarks to teenage girls about sitting on his lap among other comments which received numerous complaints. It has not been confirmed if this Santa exposed himself like cross-houses wild-man James “Gibbous” Craig did in 2004. The full story can be read here on Yahoo News Many thanks to Kenny Lee for suggesting this weeks wally and for cooking me a pizza on Tuesday.

This Bad Santa behaviour reminded me of the Festive Comedy “Bad Santa”. Here is a list of my 10 top Christmas Films (lets see if it causes as much controversy as my Top 7 Robots list):

  1. Home Alone 1
  2. Home Alone 2
  3. Die Hard
  4. Scrooged
  5. The Santa Clause (staring Home Improvements Tim Allen)
  6. The Nighmare before Christmas
  7. The Snowman
  8. The Grinch That Stole Christmas
  9. Die Hard 2
  10. Home Alone 3 (for years I refused to watch it due to the lack of Mcauley Culkin, but its actually quite good)

NOTE: Jingle All The Way has not been included as I haven’t seen it. I am ashamed to admit this being a huge Arnie Fan. If anyone would like to lend me a copy then that would make my day!

Also Can anyone confirm if Oliver May look-alike and WWE Superstar the Big Show is in Jingle All The Way as a Giant Santa?

Did anyone see the Christmas Hollyoaks special 2 years ago with Tony Hutchinson as Scrooge, it was absolutely amazing!

Here’s last weeks Wally of the Week.
